My Baking Journey
Baking has woven its way through generations in my family, originating when my grandmother immigrated to Italy in the 60s where she discovered the delights of Italian pastries, pizzas, and breads. Passing on her passion to my mother, who then shared it with me and my sisters, baking became a tradition and a means of connection in my family. It's been a way for me to process, be creative, express myself, have fun, and share love with my community. This passion turned into a small business in the coastal village of Bamfield, where I live, and have affectionately been nicknamed by some as "the cake lady" Baking has empowered me to forge connections, share joy, and express love through the language of food, embodying the values of patience, mindfulness, and creativity along the way.
